My guiltiest pleasures are Twilight, The Hunger Games, and TruBlood. I’m anxiously anticipating the midnight showing of Twilight (November) and The Hunger Games (March) and I’m about two weeks away from breaking down and watching bootleg versions of season 4 TruBlood because I’m too impatient to wait for the season DVD’s to come out! While two of the three are filled with blood sucking pale 400 year old vamps and one in particularly shows naked people, a lot, I just can’t get enough. The Hungers Games is considered “guilty” because the target reading audience is around 14 year old girls. I actually got my little sister hooked on the books and now it’s something fun we can look forward to together; of course come the midnight premiere she’ll be with a group of 14 years old girls with a parent chaperone and I’ll be with my 20 something year old girlfriends sucking down Starbucks trying to stay awake. I even caught myself geeking like this isn’t over geeking already it up a few weeks ago when I had a couple girlfriends over and two of us got on a 10 minuet rabbit trail about Comic Con; finally my other girlfriend piped in to shut us up.
TruBlood came up in conversation the other night while on a double date because the back woods restaurant we were at resembled Merlott’s; we all quickly agreed we would be “fang-bangers”; I mean really, who wouldn’t want a piece of this?
I realize I'm quickly loosing readers by posting this cheesiness but sometimes a girl just had to be a girl, am I right?
